1 3 #1. Page 1, lines 16 and 17, by striking the words
1 4 "who has not suffered bodily harm".
1 5 #2. Page 4, by inserting after line 11 the
1 6 following:
1 7 "7. If it is determined that custody of a newborn
1 8 infant has been released under this section and that
1 9 the newborn infant has been subject to child abuse, as
1 10 defined in section 232.68, or a child endangerment
1 11 offense under section 726.6, other than abandonment,
1 12 the department of human services in determining
1 13 whether the name of the perpetrator shall be placed in
1 14 the central child abuse registry under section 232.71D
1 15 and the court in determining a sentence under section
1 16 726.6, shall consider the parent's action in releasing
1 17 custody of the newborn infant under this section to be
1 18 a positive mitigating circumstance."
