1 3 #1. Page 4, by inserting before line 17 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "__. To the department of public safety for
1 6 expenditures necessary to ensure that state troopers
1 7 are not furloughed or laid off and so that current
1 8 drug interdiction activities and other safety efforts
1 9 are maintained; for funding used to provide an
1 10 education to students at Iowa's community colleges;
1 11 for funding necessary to maintain home health care for
1 12 elderly Iowans and Iowans with a disability so that
1 13 these Iowans can continue to receive the same level of
1 14 service in their homes and are not forced into nursing
1 15 facilities; for funding to assure that sexually
1 16 violent predators are not released from commitment and
1 17 allowed back into Iowa communities; for funding to
1 18 maintain the current level of child protection workers
1 19 and to ensure that child abuse assessments are not
1 20 needlessly and dangerously delayed; and for community-
1 21 based corrections so that parolees and other criminals
1 22 are not left unsupervised in Iowa neighborhoods."
