1 1 Amend the amendment, H-1182, to House File 341 as
1 2 follows:
1 3 #1. Page 1, by inserting after line 16, the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. . NEW SECTION. 146A.6 HARASSMENT –
1 6 PROHIBITED – CRIMINAL PENALTY.
1 7 1. A person commits harassment in the second
1 8 degree when the person purposefully contacts a woman
1 9 upon whom an abortion is to be performed, during the
1 10 twenty-four-hour period of delay provided under this
1 11 chapter, for the purpose of influencing the woman's
1 12 decision relating to the performance of an abortion.
1 13 2. For the purposes of this section, "person" does
1 14 not include a person residing with the woman or a
1 15 person related to the woman by consanguinity or
1 16 affinity.
1 17 Sec. . Section 708.7, subsection 3, unnumbered
1 18 paragraph 1, Code 2001, is amended to read as follows:
1 19 A person commits harassment in the second degree
1 20 when the person commits harassment involving a threat
1 21 to commit bodily injury, commits harassment pursuant
1 22 to section 146A.6, or commits harassment and has
1 23 previously been convicted of harassment two times
1 24 under this section or any similar statute during the
1 25 preceding ten years."
