  1  1    Amend House File 341 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  By striking page 1, line 3, through page 5,
  1  3 line 17, and inserting the following:
  1  4    ""Medical Procedure Waiting Period Act".
  1  5    Sec. 2.  NEW SECTION.  146A.2  MEDICAL PROCEDURES
  1  6 – WAITING PERIOD.
  1  7    Except in the case of a medical emergency, a
  1  8 medical procedure shall not be performed on an
  1  9 individual in this state unless the individual
  1 10 consents to the procedure at least twenty-four hours
  1 11 prior to the performance of the procedure."
  1 12    #2.  Title page, lines 1 and 2, by striking the
  1 13 words "an abortion and providing a criminal penalty,
  1 14 and providing an effective date" and inserting the
  1 15 following:  "a medical procedure".
