  1  1    Amend House File 403 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 43, by inserting after line 7 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 359.17, Code 2001, is amended
  1  5 to read as follows:
  1  6    359.17  TRUSTEES – DUTIES – MEETINGS.
  1  7    The board of township trustees in each township
  1  8 shall consist of three qualified electors registered
  1  9 voters of the township.  However, in townships with a
  1 10 population of twenty-five thousand or more, the board
  1 11 of township trustees shall consist of five registered
  1 12 voters of the township.  The trustees shall act as
  1 13 fence viewers and shall perform other duties assigned
  1 14 them by law.  The board of trustees shall meet not
  1 15 less than two times a year.  At least one of the
  1 16 meetings shall be scheduled to meet the requirements
  1 17 of section 359.49."
  1 18    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
