1 1 Section 1. Section 15.354, subsection 3, Code 1999, is
1 2 amended to read as follows:
1 3 3. The fund is subject to an annual audit by the auditor
1 4 of state.
1 5 4. Moneys in the fund, which may be subject to warrants
1 6 written by the director of revenue and finance, shall be drawn
1 7 upon the written requisition of the director of the department
1 8 of economic development or an authorized representative of the
1 9 director.
1 10 5. In addition to the other stated purposes of this part,
1 11 moneys in the fund shall be drawn upon the written requisition
1 12 of the director of the department of commerce for purposes of
1 13 paying the salary and support costs for one full-time real
1 14 estate trust account auditor within the professional licensing
1 15 and regulation division of the department of commerce.
1 16 Sec. 2. Section 546.10, Code 1999, is amended by adding
1 17 the following new subsection:
1 18 NEW SUBSECTION. 7. For the fiscal year beginning July 1,
1 19 2000, and for each fiscal year thereafter, moneys shall be
1 20 expended from the local housing assistance program fund
1 21 created in section 15.354, to pay the salary and support costs
1 22 for one full-time real estate trust account auditor.
1 23 EXPLANATION
1 24 This bill provides that, for the fiscal year beginning July
1 25 1, 2000, and for each fiscal year thereafter, moneys in the
1 26 local housing assistance program fund shall be drawn upon the
1 27 written requisition of the director of the department of
1 28 commerce for purposes of paying the salary and support costs
1 29 of one full-time real estate trust account auditor within the
1 30 department of commerce.
