1 1 Section 1. Section 331.461, subsection 2, Code 1999, is
1 2 amended by adding the following new lettered paragraph:
1 3 NEW PARAGRAPH. g. Housing for persons who are elderly or
1 4 persons with physical disabilities.
1 5 EXPLANATION
1 6 This bill adds housing for persons who are elderly or
1 7 persons with physical disabilities to the definition of county
1 8 enterprise. Including housing for persons who are elderly or
1 9 persons with physical disabilities under the definition of
1 10 county enterprise allows counties to issue revenue bonds for
1 11 the construction and maintenance of these facilities.
1 12 Currently, counties can only issue general obligation bonds
1 13 for these purposes.
