1 1 Section 1. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. There is appropriated
1 2 from the general fund of the state to the department of
1 3 education for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2000, and
1 4 ending June 30, 2001, the following amount, or so much thereof
1 5 as is necessary, to be used for the purpose designated:
1 6 For school districts to provide direct services to the most
1 7 at-risk senior high school students enrolled in school
1 8 districts through direct intervention by a "jobs for America's
1 9 graduates" specialist:

1 11 EXPLANATION
1 12 This bill appropriates moneys from the general fund of the
1 13 state to the department of education for fiscal year 2000-2001
1 14 to enable school districts to provide direct services to the
1 15 most at-risk senior high school students through direct
1 16 intervention by a "jobs for America's graduates" specialist.
