  1  1    Section 1.  Section 256.7, subsection 21, paragraph c, Code
  1  2 Supplement 1999, is amended to read as follows:
  1  3    c.  A requirement that all school districts and accredited
  1  4 nonpublic schools annually report to the department and the
  1  5 local community the district-wide progress made in attaining
  1  6 student achievement goals on the academic and other core
  1  7 indicators and the district-wide progress made in attaining
  1  8 locally established student learning goals.  Progress shall be
  1  9 reported by the school districts and accredited nonpublic
  1 10 schools by individual attendance center and the district as a
  1 11 whole.  The school districts and accredited nonpublic schools
  1 12 shall demonstrate the use of multiple assessment measures in
  1 13 determining student achievement levels.  The school districts
  1 14 and accredited nonpublic schools may report on other locally
  1 15 determined factors influencing student achievement.  The
  1 16 school districts and accredited nonpublic schools shall also
  1 17 report to the local community their results by individual
  1 18 attendance center.  
  1 19                           EXPLANATION
  1 20    This bill amends current Code language to require that the
  1 21 student achievement report that all school districts and
  1 22 accredited nonpublic schools must submit to the department and
  1 23 to their local communities, include the school district and
  1 24 accredited nonpublic school results by individual attendance
  1 25 center, as well as the districtwide results.
