  1  1    Section 1.  Section 235B.3, Code Supplement 1999, is
  1  2 amended by adding the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  2A.  For the purposes of this section,
  1  4 employee or staff member includes an individual employed or
  1  5 retained on a full-time or part-time basis or on a contractual
  1  6 basis.  
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    This bill provides that for the purposes of being
  1  9 designated a mandatory reporter of dependent adult abuse,
  1 10 individuals employed or retained on a full-time or part-time
  1 11 basis or on a contractual basis are included in the
  1 12 requirement.
