  1  4 PROVIDING THAT A COUNTY ENTERPRISE INCLUDES HOUSING FOR PERSONS
  1  5    WHO ARE ELDERLY OR PERSONS WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES AND
  1  6    CERTAIN COUNTY HOSPITALS.

  1  8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
  1  9 
  1 10    Section 1.  Section 331.461, subsection 2, paragraph e,
  1 11 Code 1999, is amended to read as follows:
  1 12    e.  In a county with a population of less than one hundred
  1 13 fifty thousand, a county hospital established under chapter 37
  1 14 or 347A, including its acquisition, construction, equipment,
  1 15 enlargement, and improvement, and including necessary lands,
  1 16 rights of way, and other property.  However, bonds issued
  1 17 under this paragraph shall mature in not more than thirty
  1 18 years from date of issuance, and are subject to the notice and
  1 19 election requirements of bonds issued under paragraph "d".
  1 20    Sec. 2.  Section 331.461, subsection 2, Code 1999, is
  1 21 amended by adding the following new lettered paragraph:
  1 22    NEW PARAGRAPH.  g.  Housing for persons who are elderly or
  1 23 persons with physical disabilities.
