  1  1    Section 1.  Section 331.659, Code 1999, is amended by
  1  2 adding the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  3.  A county sheriff shall not inscribe,
  1  4 or direct the inscription of, a patrol vehicle assigned to a
  1  5 deputy sheriff in the county with the deputy sheriff's name.  
  1  6                           EXPLANATION 
  1  7    This bill amends Code section 331.659 to prohibit county
  1  8 sheriffs from inscribing, or directing the inscription of,
  1  9 patrol vehicles assigned to deputy sheriffs in the county with
  1 10 the deputies' names.
