  1  4 PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE IN THE COMPOSITION REQUIREMENT FOR 
  1  5    NURSES ON THE IOWA BOARD OF NURSING EXAMINERS.
  1  6 
  1  7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA: 
  1  8 
  1  9    Section 1.  Section 147.14, subsection 3, Code 1999, is
  1 10 amended to read as follows:
  1 11    3.  For nursing examiners, four registered nurses, one two
  1 12 of whom shall be actively engaged in practice, three two of
  1 13 whom shall be nurse educators from nursing education programs;
  1 14 of these, one in higher education, one in diploma education,
  1 15 and one in area community and vocational-technical registered
  1 16 nurse education; one licensed practical nurse actively engaged
  1 17 in practice; and two members not registered nurses or licensed
  1 18 practical nurses and who shall represent the general public.
  1 19 The representatives of the general public shall not be members
  1 20 of health care delivery systems.  A majority of the members of
  1 21 the board constitutes a quorum.
