  1  1    Amend the amendment, S-5622, to House File 2549, as
  1  2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the House, as
  1  3 follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 27, by inserting after line 19 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "Sec.    .  Section 257.31, subsection 5, Code
  1  7 1999, is amended by adding the following new
  1  8 paragraph:
  1  9    NEW PARAGRAPH.  m.  An unusually high percentage of
  1 10 gifted and talented students as described in section
  1 11 257.44, requiring additional resources for gifted and
  1 12 talented programs.  For the purposes of this
  1 13 paragraph, the committee may grant supplemental aid or
  1 14 establish a modified allowable growth for a school
  1 15 district for more than one consecutive school budget
  1 16 year."
  1 17    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
