  1  1    Amend House File 2552, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 10, by inserting after line 21 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "h.  The department of corrections shall not enter
  1  6 into a new contract, or renew an existing contract,
  1  7 concerning the providing of telephone service for
  1  8 inmates and the receipt of moneys for inmate telephone
  1  9 rebates without receiving bids to provide the service
  1 10 through a competitive bidding process consistent with
  1 11 the requirements provided in section 18.6."
  1 12    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
