PAG LIN 1 1 Amend House File 2548, as passed by the House, as 1 2 follows: 1 3 #1. Page 3, by inserting after line 31 the 1 4 following: 1 5 "Sec. . Section 422.45, subsection 20, Code 1 6 Supplement 1999, is amended to read as follows: 1 7 20. The gross receipts from sales or services 1 8 rendered, furnished, or performed by a county or city 1 9 including services provided by a city or county 1 10 through a management contract. This exemption does 1 11 not apply to the tax specifically imposed under 1 12 section 422.43 on the gross receipts from the sales, 1 13 furnishing, or service of gas, electricity, water, 1 14 heat, pay television service, and communication 1 15 service to the public by a municipal corporation in 1 16 its proprietary capacity; does not apply to the sales, 1 17 furnishing, or service of solid waste collection and 1 18 disposal service to nonresidential commercial 1 19 operations; and does not apply to the sales, 1 20 furnishing, or service of sewage service for 1 21 nonresidential commercial operations; and does not1 22apply to fees paid to cities and counties for the1 23privilege of participating in any athletic sports." 1 24 1 25 1 26 1 27 JOHN REDWINE 1 28 HF 2548.702 78 1 29 mg/cls
