  1  1    Amend House File 2377, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 4, line 20, by inserting after the word
  1  4 "governor" the following:  "or a member of the general
  1  5 assembly".
  1  6    #2.  Page 4, line 22, by inserting after the word
  1  7 "governor" the following:  "or the member of the
  1  8 general assembly".
  1  9    #3.  Page 4, line 23, by inserting after the word
  1 10 "department." the following:  "The disclosure shall
  1 11 include all information obtained by the department in
  1 12 the course of responding to the report of child abuse,
  1 13 including but not limited to department of human
  1 14 services' information described in section 217.30,
  1 15 subsection 1, mental health information as defined in
  1 16 section 228.1, and juvenile court social records and
  1 17 other information in official juvenile court records
  1 18 described in section 232.147.  The purpose of the
  1 19 disclosure is for the governor or member of the
  1 20 general assembly to respond to a citizen's request for
  1 21 an independent review of the actions of the department
  1 22 and others in responding to a report of child abuse.
  1 23 The governor or member of the general assembly may
  1 24 designate a staff person to receive the disclosure and
  1 25 to respond on the governor's or member's behalf.  A
  1 26 person other than the governor who receives a
  1 27 disclosure under this subsection must be an officer of
  1 28 the court or must have completed training as a
  1 29 reporter of child abuse or comparable training before
  1 30 receiving the disclosure.  A person who receives
  1 31 confidential information disseminated under this
  1 32 section shall not further disseminate, communicate, or
  1 33 attempt to communicate the information to a person who
  1 34 is not authorized by this chapter or other provision
  1 35 of law to have access to the information."
