1 2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
1 3 #1. By striking everything after the enacting
1 4 clause, and inserting the following:
1 5 "Section 1. NEW SECTION. 146A.1 TITLE.
1 6 This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the
1 7 "Vasectomy Waiting Period Act".
1 8 Sec. 2. NEW SECTION. 146A.2 VASECTOMY – WAITING
1 9 PERIOD.
1 10 Except in the case of a medical emergency, a
1 11 vasectomy shall not be performed on a man in this
1 12 state unless the man consents to the vasectomy at
1 13 least twenty-four hours prior to the performance of
1 14 the procedure."
1 15 #2. Title page, line 1, by striking the word
1 16 "informed" and inserting the following: "twenty-four
1 17 hour prior".
1 18 #3. Title page, lines 1 through 3, by striking the
1 19 words "an abortion and providing criminal penalties,
1 20 and providing an effective date" and inserting the
1 21 following: "a vasectomy performed on a man".
