  1  1    Amend House File 2145 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by inserting before line 1 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Section 1.  Section 257.31, subsection 5, Code
  1  5 1999, is amended by adding the following new
  1  6 paragraph:
  1  7    NEW PARAGRAPH.  m.  An unusually high percentage of
  1  8 gifted and talented students as described in section
  1  9 257.44, requiring additional resources for gifted and
  1 10 talented programs.  For the purposes of this
  1 11 paragraph, the committee may grant supplemental aid or
  1 12 establish a modified allowable growth for a school
  1 13 district for more than one consecutive school budget
  1 14 year."
  1 15    #2.  Title page, line 1, by inserting after the
  1 16 word "enrollment" the following:  ", and providing for
  1 17 additional resources,".
  1 18    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
