  1  1    Amend Senate File 2411 as follows:
  1  2    #1. Page 21, by inserting after line 18 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 97B.49A, subsection 1,
  1  5 paragraph a, Code 1999, is amended to read as follows:
  1  6    a.  "Applicable percentage" means sixty percent or,
  1  7 for each active or inactive vested member retiring on
  1  8 or after July 1, 1996, sixty percent plus, if
  1  9 applicable, an additional one-fourth one-half of one
  1 10 percentage point for each additional calendar quarter
  1 11 of membership and prior service beyond thirty years of
  1 12 service, not to exceed a total of five ten additional
  1 13 percentage points.
  1 14    Sec.    .  Section 97B.49B, subsection 1, paragraph
  1 15 a, Code 1999, is amended to read as follows:
  1 16    a.  "Applicable percentage" means sixty percent or,
  1 17 for each active or inactive vested member retiring on
  1 18 or after July 1, 1996, sixty percent plus, if
  1 19 applicable, an additional one-fourth one-half of one
  1 20 percentage point for each additional calendar quarter
  1 21 of eligible service beyond twenty-five years of
  1 22 service, not to exceed a total of five ten additional
  1 23 percentage points."
  1 24    #2.  Page 21, by inserting after line 24 the
  1 25 following:
  1 26    "Sec.    .  Section 97B.49D, subsection 3, Code
  1 27 1999, is amended to read as follows:
  1 28    3.  In calculating the combined monthly retirement
  1 29 allowance pursuant to subsection 1, the applicable
  1 30 percentage shall be sixty percent plus, if applicable,
  1 31 an additional one-fourth one-half of one percentage
  1 32 point for each additional calendar quarter of
  1 33 membership service in service as described in
  1 34 subsection 1, paragraph "a", "b", or "c", beyond
  1 35 thirty years of service, not to exceed a total of five
  1 36 ten additional percentage points.  Any addition in the
  1 37 percentage multiplier shall be included in the
  1 38 calculations required under this section."
  1 39    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
