1 7 an equitable manner."

1 13 #4. Page 19, by striking lines 1 through 15, and
1 14 inserting the following:
1 15 "Sec. ___. REIMBURSEMENT METHODOLOGY TASK FORCE –
1 16 REPORT. The department of human services shall
1 17 convene a task force consisting of the members of the
1 18 senior living coordinating unit, representatives of
1 19 the nursing facility industry, consumers and consumer
1 20 advocates to develop a case-mix reimbursement
1 21 methodology. The methodology developed shall include
1 22 a limited number of levels of reimbursement. The task
1 23 force shall submit a report of the reimbursement
1 24 methodology developed to the governor and the general
1 25 assembly on or before December 15, 2000. The
1 26 department of human services shall also include in the
1 27 report a summary of the expenditures for nursing
1 28 facility conversion and for long-term care service
1 29 development."

1 34 the following: "the seventieth percentile and case-
1 35 mix reimbursement methodology".

1 37 "subsection." the following: "The total amount
1 38 expended by the department of human services in the
1 39 fiscal year beginning July 1, 2000, and ending June
1 40 30, 2001, for nursing facility provider reimbursements
1 41 under both the seventieth percentile and the case-mix
1 42 reimbursement methodologies shall not exceed the
1 43 amount appropriated in this subsection."
