1 3 #1. Page 16, by inserting after line 6 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. 501. ENROLLMENT ADJUSTMENT. For the school
1 6 budget year beginning July 1, 1999, a school district
1 7 participating in an alternative high school program
1 8 offered by a community college, which undercounted its
1 9 weighted enrollment attributable to participation in
1 10 the alternative high school program by 55 or more
1 11 students when determining enrollment pursuant to
1 12 section 257.6 on September 18, 1998, shall be
1 13 authorized to adjust the enrollment count to reflect
1 14 the revised weighted enrollment count in a report
1 15 which shall be submitted to the department of
1 16 education within 30 days after the effective date of
1 17 this section. The department of education shall
1 18 forward the report to the department of management,
1 19 which shall adjust the budget enrollment for the
1 20 school district accordingly."
1 21 #2. Page 16, by inserting after line 7 the
1 22 following:
1 23 "___. EFFECTIVE DATE. Section 501 of this Act,
1 24 relating to enrollment adjustment, being deemed of
1 25 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment."
1 26 #3. By renumbering, relettering, and redesignating
1 27 as necessary.
