1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. . SCHOOL BUILDING FINANCING – STUDY.
1 6 The legislative council is requested to establish an
1 7 interim study committee consisting of five members
1 8 from each house of the general assembly, representing
1 9 both political parties, to study the financing
1 10 mechanisms for K-12 school buildings, including
1 11 construction of, improvements to, and renovation of
1 12 such buildings. The committee should have seven
1 13 meeting days and may be authorized to conduct public
1 14 hearings across the state regarding the issues to be
1 15 studied by the committee. The committee should be
1 16 directed to submit its findings, together with any
1 17 recommendations, in a report to the general assembly
1 18 session which convenes in January 2000."
