1 2 #1. Page 8, by inserting before line 20 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. 101. NEW SECTION. 56.14A NEW ADVERTISING
1 5 BEFORE ELECTION – RESTRICTIONS.
1 6 A candidate or a candidate's committee shall not,
1 7 within the five-day period which immediately precedes
1 8 the election in which the candidate is seeking office,
1 9 publish, distribute, or cause to be published or
1 10 distributed, published material designed to promote or
1 11 defeat the election of the candidate or the
1 12 candidate's opponent unless the material was
1 13 previously published or distributed during the period
1 14 of time which preceded that five-day period. For
1 15 purposes of this subsection, "published material"
1 16 includes "published material" as defined under section
1 17 56.14 and paid political announcements broadcast
1 18 through electronic media including, but not limited
1 19 to, radio, television, or computer networks."
1 20 #2. Title page, line 1, by striking the word
1 21 "disclosure".
1 22 #3. Title page, line 4, by inserting after the
1 23 word "fees," the following: "prohibiting certain
1 24 political advertisements,".
