  1  1    Amend Senate File 136 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 17, by inserting after line 14 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 450.7, subsection 1, unnumbered
  1  5 paragraph 2, Code 1999, is amended to read as follows:
  1  6    Inheritance taxes owing with respect to a passing
  1  7 of property of a deceased person are no longer a lien
  1  8 against the property ten years from the date of death
  1  9 of the decedent owner regardless of whether the
  1 10 decedent owner died prior to or subsequent to July 1,
  1 11 1995, except to the extent taxes are attributable to
  1 12 remainder or deferred interests and are deferred in
  1 13 accordance with the provisions of this chapter."
