  1  1    Amend the amendment, S-3044, to Senate File 203 as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by striking lines 6 through 17 and
  1  4 inserting the following:
  1  5    "1.  For purposes of this section, the following".
  1  6    #2.  Page 1, line 25, by striking the figure "4."
  1  7 and inserting the following:  "2."
  1  8    #3.  Page 1, line 29, by inserting after the figure
  1  9 "321.255." the following:  "An ordinance adopted
  1 10 pursuant to this section may limit the use of an
  1 11 engine brake in any of the following ways:
  1 12    a.  Limit the use of an engine brake to situations
  1 13 when such use is necessary due to the slope of the
  1 14 highway or in an emergency that requires such use to
  1 15 avoid imminent danger to a person or property.
  1 16    b.  Limit the use of an unmuffled engine brake to
  1 17 emergency situations when such use is necessary to
  1 18 avoid imminent danger to a person or property."
  1 19    #4.  Page 1, by striking lines 30 through 42.
  1 20    #5.  By renumbering as necessary.
