1 2 #1. Page 1, by inserting after line 30 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. ___. YOUTH LEADERSHIP MODEL. There is
1 5 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
1 6 Iowa department of corrections for the fiscal year
1 7 beginning July 1, 1999, and ending June 30, 2000, the
1 8 following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary,
1 9 to be used for the purpose designated:
1 10 For the establishment of youth leadership model
1 11 programs to help at-risk youth in the judicial
1 12 district departments of correctional services selected
1 13 by the department:
1 14 .................................................. $ 100,000
1 15 As a part of the program, the judicial district
1 16 department of correctional services may recruit high
1 17 school athletes in communities in the judicial
1 18 district to work with at-risk children."
1 19 #2. By renumbering as necessary.
