  1  1    Section 1.  201 Iowa administrative code, rule 50.13,
  1  2 subrule 2, paragraph a, subparagraph (3), is nullified.
  1  3    Sec. 2.  EFFECTIVE DATE.  This resolution, being deemed of
  1  4 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.  
  1  5                           EXPLANATION
  1  6    This joint resolution nullifies an administrative rule of
  1  7 the department of corrections which provides that personnel
  1  8 must observe each inmate and document the observation every
  1  9 hour, and if the inmate is considered to be in physical
  1 10 jeopardy, personnel must observe each inmate and document the
  1 11 observation every one-half hour.
  1 12    This resolution is effective upon enactment.
