PAG LIN 1 1 Section 1. IOWA HOUSING CORPORATION DISSOLUTION PLAN. 1 2 On or before May 1, 2000, the Iowa finance authority, with the 1 3 advice of the attorney general's office, shall develop and 1 4 finalize a plan to wind down the affairs of the Iowa housing 1 5 corporation and dissolve the Iowa housing corporation 1 6 consistent with the provisions of chapter 504A. A copy of the 1 7 plan shall be delivered to members of the legislative council 1 8 and members of the executive council. Implementation of the 1 9 plan shall commence immediately upon the delivery of the 1 10 written plan to the legislative council and executive council 1 11 members. 1 12 Sec. 2. Sections 16.5A and 16.5B, Code 1999, are repealed. 1 13 Sec. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act, being deemed of 1 14 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment. 1 15 EXPLANATION 1 16 This bill provides that, on or before May 1, 2000, the Iowa 1 17 finance authority, with the advice of the attorney general's 1 18 office, shall develop and finalize a plan to wind down the 1 19 affairs of the Iowa housing corporation. The bill provides 1 20 that a copy of the plan shall be delivered to the members of 1 21 the legislative council and the executive council. The bill 1 22 provides that the plan shall be implemented upon the delivery 1 23 of the written plan to the legislative council and the 1 24 executive council members. 1 25 The bill repeals Code sections 16.5A and 16.5B relating to 1 26 reporting requirements for the Iowa housing corporation, 1 27 conflict of interest requirements for the Iowa housing 1 28 corporation, and the Iowa housing corporation board of 1 29 directors. 1 30 The bill takes effect upon enactment. 1 31 LSB 7318YH 78 1 32 tm/cf/24
