1 1 Section 1. JUDICIAL DISTRICT DEPARTMENTS OF CORRECTIONAL
1 2 SERVICES – DRUG COURTS. There is appropriated from the
1 3 general fund of the state to the department of corrections for
1 4 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2000, and ending June 30,
1 5 2001, the following amounts, or so much thereof as is
1 6 necessary, to be allocated as follows:
1 7 a. For the second judicial district department of
1 8 correctional services to establish two sites for drug courts
1 9 and to provide 3.50 additional FTEs:
1 10 .................................................. $ 264,591
1 11 b. For the third judicial district department of
1 12 correctional services to replace federal grant funds for drug
1 13 court in Woodbury county, to expand the drug court program,
1 14 and to provide 2.50 additional FTEs:
1 15 .................................................. $ 190,768
1 16 c. For the fourth judicial district department of
1 17 correctional services to expand the drug court program and to
1 18 provide 4.00 additional FTEs:
1 19 .................................................. $ 230,000
1 20 d. For the fifth judicial district department of
1 21 correctional services to replace funding to maintain the drug
1 22 court program:
1 23 .................................................. $ 255,693
1 24 EXPLANATION
1 25 This bill appropriates moneys from the general fund of the
1 26 state to the department of corrections for the fiscal year
1 27 beginning July 1, 2000, for use by the judicial district
1 28 departments of correctional services to maintain or expand the
1 29 drug court program in the second, third, fourth, and fifth
1 30 judicial districts.
