  1  4 PROVIDING FOR REVIEW OF DEATHS OF CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF
  1  5    EIGHTEEN BY THE CHILD DEATH REVIEW TEAM.  
  1  6 
  1  7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
  1  8 
  1  9    Section 1.  Section 135.43, subsection 3, paragraph a, Code
  1 10 1999, is amended to read as follows:
  1 11    a.  Collect, review, and analyze child death certificates
  1 12 and child death data, including patient records or other
  1 13 pertinent confidential information concerning the deaths of
  1 14 children under age six or younger eighteen, and other
  1 15 information as the review team deems appropriate for use in
  1 16 preparing an annual report to the governor and the general
  1 17 assembly concerning the causes and manner of child deaths.
  1 18 The report shall include analysis of factual information
  1 19 obtained through review and recommendations regarding
  1 20 prevention of child deaths.
