PAG LIN 1 1 Section 1. Section 6A.21, subsection 1, paragraph b, Code 1 2 Supplement 1999, is amended to read as follows: 1 3 b. "Private development purposes" means the construction 1 4 of, or improvement related to,recreational trails,1 5 recreational development paid for primarily with private 1 6 funds, housing and residential development, or commercial or 1 7 industrial enterprise development. 1 8 EXPLANATION 1 9 Current law prohibits the condemnation of agricultural land 1 10 for private development purposes. This bill removes 1 11 recreational trails from the definition of private development 1 12 purposes, thereby allowing such condemnation for the 1 13 development of recreational trails. 1 14 LSB 6271YH 78 1 15 sc/cf/24
