1 1 Section 1. Section 99D.22, subsection 2, Code 1999, is
1 2 amended by adding the following new paragraph after paragraph
1 3 b:
1 4 NEW PARAGRAPH. bb. A brood mare producing Iowa-foaled
1 5 horses that are eligible for Iowa-foal supplemental winnings
1 6 as provided in this section must be bred to an Iowa registered
1 7 stallion every other year.
1 8 EXPLANATION
1 9 This bill provides that a brood mare producing Iowa-foaled
1 10 horses that are eligible for Iowa-foal supplemental winnings
1 11 from the Iowa horse and dog breeders fund must be bred to an
1 12 Iowa registered stallion every other year.
