1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 18.10A PUBLIC ACCESS TO CAPITOL
1 2 BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS – ASSISTANCE.
1 3 The director shall provide a means of assistance to persons
1 4 with physical disabilities for the purpose of accessing and
1 5 moving about the capitol and capitol buildings and grounds.
1 6 Such assistance may be provided through the use of motorized
1 7 carts, wheelchairs, or other means deemed appropriate by the
1 8 director.
1 9 EXPLANATION
1 10 This bill directs the director of the department of general
1 11 services to provide assistance to persons with physical
1 12 disabilities for the purpose of accessing and moving about the
1 13 capitol and associated buildings and grounds. The bill
1 14 provides that such assistance may be provided through the use
1 15 of motorized carts, wheelchairs, or other means deemed
1 16 appropriate by the director.
