  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  808A.5  APPLICABILITY.
  1  2    This chapter shall not apply to a search of a student for
  1  3 purposes of conducting a drug or alcohol test on a sample
  1  4 obtained from the student.  
  1  5                              EXPLANATION
  1  6    The bill exempts drug and alcohol testing of students from
  1  7 the requirements of Code chapter 808A otherwise governing
  1  8 student searches, such as locker searches.
