PAG LIN 1 1 Section 1. Section 1D.1, Code 1999, is amended to read as 1 2 follows: 1 3 1D.1STANDARD TIME ANDDAYLIGHT SAVING TIME AS OFFICIAL 1 4 TIME. 1 5The standardDaylight saving time shall be the official 1 6 time in this state. Daylight saving time is the solar time of 1 7 the ninetieth meridian of longitude west of Greenwich, 1 8 commonly known as central standard time,except that from two1 9o'clock ante meridiem of the first Sunday of April in every1 10year until two o'clock ante meridiem of the last Sunday of1 11October in the same year, standard time shall beadvanced one 1 12 hour.The period of time so advanced shall be known as1 13"daylight saving time."1 14 Sec. 2. Section 515.138, unnumbered paragraph 12, Code 1 15 1999, is amended to read as follows: 1 16 IN CONSIDERATION OF THE PROVISIONS AND STIPULATIONS HEREIN 1 17 OR ADDED HERETO AND OF ...... DOLLARS PREMIUM this company, 1 18 for the term of ........ from the ..... day of ........,191 19 (year) ...., to the .... day of ......,19(year) ...., at 1 20 noon,Standard Time,at location of property involved, to an 1 21 amount not exceeding ...... Dollars, does insure ........ and 1 22 legal representatives, to the extent of the actual cash value 1 23 of the property at the time of loss, but not exceeding the 1 24 amount which it would cost to repair or replace the property 1 25 with material of like kind and quality within a reasonable 1 26 time after such loss, without allowance for any increased cost 1 27 of repair or reconstruction by reason of any ordinance or law 1 28 regulating construction or repair, and without compensation 1 29 for loss resulting from interruption of business or 1 30 manufacture, nor in any event for more than the interest of 1 31 the insured, against all DIRECT LOSS BY FIRE, LIGHTNING AND BY 1 32 REMOVAL FROM PREMISES ENDANGERED BY THE PERILS INSURED AGAINST 1 33 IN THIS POLICY, EXCEPT AS HEREINAFTER PROVIDED, to the 1 34 property described hereinafter while located or contained as 1 35 described in this policy, or pro rata for five days at each 2 1 proper place to which any of the property shall necessarily be 2 2 removed for preservation from the perils insured against in 2 3 this policy, but not elsewhere. 2 4 EXPLANATION 2 5 This bill establishes daylight saving time as the official 2 6 time in this state throughout the year. 2 7 LSB 1807HH 78 2 8 ec/jw/5.1
