  1  2    #1.  Page 2, line 19, by inserting after the word
  1  3 "MONEYS" the following:  " – ACADEMIC COMPETITION".
  1  4    #2.  Page 2, by inserting after line 28 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "Sec.    .  DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.  There is
  1  7 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
  1  8 department of education for the fiscal year beginning
  1  9 July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2001, the following
  1 10 amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be used
  1 11 for the purpose designated:
  1 12    For providing grants to support qualifying teams
  1 13 for a worldwide academic competition:  
  1 14 .................................................. $     10,000"
