  1  1    Amend House File 2572 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 2, by striking lines 20 through 28 and
  1  3 inserting the following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Notwithstanding the amount of the
  1  5 standing appropriation from the general fund of the
  1  6 state in section 294A.25, subsection 1, there is
  1  7 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
  1  8 department of education in lieu of the appropriation
  1  9 made in section 294A.25, subsection 1, for the fiscal
  1 10 year beginning July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2001,
  1 11 the following amount:  
  1 12 .................................................. $ 80,891,336"
