  1  1    Amend House File 2576 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, line 18, by inserting after the word
  1  3 "provider" the following:  "that occurred on or after
  1  4 January 1, 1998,".
  1  5    #2.  Page 2, by inserting after line 16, the
  1  6 following:
  1  7    "Sec.    .  RETROACTIVE APPLICABILITY.  This Act
  1  8 applies retroactively to January 1, 1998, to deaths in
  1  9 the line of duty occurring on or after that date."
  1 10    #3.  Title page, line 2, by striking the words
  1 11 "duty and" and inserting the following:  "duty,".
  1 12    #4.  Title page, line 3, by inserting after the
  1 13 word "appropriation" the following:  ", and including
  1 14 a retroactive applicability provision".
  1 15    #5.  By renumbering as necessary.
