1 3 #1. Page 3, by inserting after line 13 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "6. The department of economic development and the
1 6 Iowa utilities board shall jointly develop a written
1 7 report with recommendations to ensure that high-speed
1 8 broadband internet access is available to rural areas
1 9 of the state where such access is not currently
1 10 available. The written report shall be submitted to
1 11 the legislative oversight committee of the legislative
1 12 council by no later than October 1, 2000."
