1 5 "f. A discussion of the manner in which the
1 6 project has taken the following planning principles
1 7 into consideration during the planning of the project:
1 8 (1) Efficient and effective use of land resources
1 9 and existing infrastructure by encouraging development
1 10 in areas with existing infrastructure or capacity to
1 11 avoid costly duplication of services and costly use of
1 12 land.
1 13 (2) Provision for a variety of transportation
1 14 choices, including neighborhoods conducive to
1 15 pedestrian traffic.
1 16 (3) Maintenance of a unique sense of place by
1 17 respecting local cultural and natural environmental
1 18 features.
1 19 (4) Conservation of open space and farmland and
1 20 preservation of critical environmental areas.
1 21 (5) Promotion of the safety, livability, and
1 22 revitalization of existing urban and rural
1 23 communities."
