1 1 Amend House File 2562 as follows:
1 2 #1. By striking everything after the enacting
1 3 clause and inserting the following:
1 4 "Section 1. The legislative council is requested
1 5 to establish a legislative interim study committee to
1 6 study the issues involved in the sales and use taxes
1 7 on the sales or furnishing of information services and
1 8 the products of such services which are transmitted
1 9 digitally, electronically, utilizing cable, or by
1 10 radio waves, microwaves, satellites, or fiber optics.
1 11 The study committee shall report its findings and
1 12 recommendations to the general assembly and the
1 13 department of revenue and finance by January 1, 2001."
1 14 #2. Title page, by striking lines 1 through 7 and
1 15 inserting the following: "An Act requesting the
1 16 establishment of a legislative interim study committee
1 17 to study the issues involved in the sales and use
1 18 taxes on information services and the products of such
1 19 services which are transmitted by electromagnetic
1 20 waves, digitally, or by cable or fiber optics."
