  1  1    Amend Senate File 2241 as passed by the Senate as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting before line 1 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Section 1.  Section 124.401, subsection 1,
  1  6 paragraph a, subparagraph (2), unnumbered paragraph 1,
  1  7 Code Supplement 1999, is amended to read as follows:
  1  8    More than five kilograms of a any compound, mixture
  1  9 or, preparation, or substance containing a detectable
  1 10 amount of any of the following:
  1 11    Sec. 2.  Section 124.401, subsection 1, paragraph
  1 12 a, subparagraph (2), subparagraph subdivisions (a),
  1 13 (b), and (c), Code Supplement 1999, are amended by
  1 14 striking the subparagraph subdivisions.
  1 15    Sec. 3.  Section 124.401, subsection 1, paragraph
  1 16 a, subparagraph (2), subparagraph subdivision (f),
  1 17 Code Supplement 1999, is amended to read as follows:
  1 18    (f)  Any compound, mixture, or preparation which
  1 19 contains any quantity of any of the substances
  1 20 referred to in subparagraph subdivisions (a) through
  1 21 (e) this subparagraph (2).
  1 22    Sec. 4.  Section 124.401, subsection 1, paragraph
  1 23 a, subparagraph (3), Code Supplement 1999, is amended
  1 24 to read as follows:
  1 25    (3)  More than fifty grams of a any compound,
  1 26 mixture or, preparation, or substance described in
  1 27 subparagraph (2) which contains cocaine base.
  1 28 containing a detectable amount of any of the
  1 29 following:
  1 30    (a)  Coca leaves, except coca leaves and extracts
  1 31 of coca leaves from which cocaine, ecgonine, and
  1 32 derivatives of ecgonine or their salts have been
  1 33 removed.
  1 34    (b)  Cocaine, its salts, optical and geometric
  1 35 isomers, and salts of isomers.
  1 36    (c)  Ecgonine, its derivatives, their salts,
  1 37 isomers, and salts of isomers.
  1 38    (d)  Cocaine base.
  1 39    Sec. 5.  Section 124.401, subsection 1, paragraph
  1 40 b, subparagraph (2), Code Supplement 1999, is amended
  1 41 by striking the subparagraph.
  1 42    Sec. 6.  Section 124.401, subsection 1, paragraph
  1 43 b, subparagraph (3), Code Supplement 1999, is amended
  1 44 to read as follows:
  1 45    (3)  More than five grams but not more than fifty
  1 46 grams of a any compound, mixture, preparation, or
  1 47 substance described in subparagraph (2) which contains
  1 48 cocaine base. containing a detectable amount of any of
  1 49 the following:
  1 50    (a)  Coca leaves, except coca leaves and extracts
  2  1 of coca leaves from which cocaine, ecgonine, and
  2  2 derivatives of ecgonine or their salts have been
  2  3 removed.
  2  4    (b)  Cocaine, its salts, optical and geometric
  2  5 isomers, and salts of isomers.
  2  6    (c)  Ecgonine, its derivatives, their salts,
  2  7 isomers, and salts of isomers.
  2  8    (d)  Cocaine base.
  2  9    Sec. 7.  Section 124.401, subsection 1, paragraph
  2 10 c, subparagraph (2), Code Supplement 1999, is amended
  2 11 by striking the subparagraph.
  2 12    Sec. 8.  Section 124.401, subsection 1, paragraph
  2 13 c, subparagraph (3), Code Supplement 1999, is amended
  2 14 to read as follows:
  2 15    (3)  Five grams or less of a any compound, mixture,
  2 16 preparation, or substance described in subparagraph
  2 17 (2) which contains cocaine base. containing a
  2 18 detectable amount of any of the following:
  2 19    (a)  Coca leaves, except coca leaves and extracts
  2 20 of coca leaves from which cocaine, ecgonine, and
  2 21 derivatives of ecgonine or their salts have been
  2 22 removed.
  2 23    (b)  Cocaine, its salts, optical and geometric
  2 24 isomers, and salts of isomers.
  2 25    (c)  Ecgonine, its derivatives, their salts,
  2 26 isomers, and salts of isomers.
  2 27    (d)  Cocaine base.
  2 28    Sec. 9.  Section 232.22, subsection 1, paragraph e,
  2 29 subparagraph (2), Code 1999, is amended to read as
  2 30 follows:
  2 31    (2)  A mixture or substance containing cocaine, its
  2 32 salts, optical and geometric isomers, and salts of
  2 33 isomers, and if the act was committed by an adult, it
  2 34 would be a violation of section 124.401, subsection 1,
  2 35 paragraph "a", subparagraph (2) (3), subparagraph
  2 36 subdivision (b), paragraph "b", subparagraph (2) (3),
  2 37 subparagraph subdivision (b), or paragraph "c",
  2 38 subparagraph (2) (3), subparagraph subdivision (b)."
  2 39    #2.  Title page, by striking lines 2 and 3, and
  2 40 inserting the following:  "and relating to criminal
  2 41 offenses concerning cocaine, or cocaine-related
  2 42 substances."
  2 43    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
