1 1 Amend House File 2535 as follows:
1 2 #1. By striking everything after the enacting
1 3 clause and inserting the following:
1 4 "Section 1. There is appropriated from the general
1 5 fund of the state to the state board of regents for
1 6 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2000, and ending
1 7 June 30, 2001, the following amount, or so much
1 8 thereof as may be necessary, to be used for the
1 9 purpose designated:
1 10 To Iowa state university of science and technology,
1 11 cooperative extension service in agriculture and home
1 12 economics, to support the Iowa concern hotline in
1 13 providing stress counseling, information, and referral
1 14 to farm families facing financial distress:
1 15 .................................................. $ 500,000
1 16 Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys appropriated
1 17 in this section which remain unobligated or unexpended
1 18 at the close of the fiscal year shall not revert but
1 19 shall remain available to be used for the purposes
1 20 designated in the succeeding fiscal year."
1 21 #2. Title page, by striking lines 1 through 3 and
1 22 inserting the following: "An Act appropriating money
1 23 to support the Iowa concern hotline to assist farm
1 24 families facing financial distress."
