PAG LIN 1 1 Amend House File 2543 as follows: 1 2 #1. Page 1, by inserting before line 1 the 1 3 following: 1 4 "Section 1. Section 257.1, subsection 2, 1 5 unnumbered paragraph 3, Code Supplement 1999, is 1 6 amended to read as follows: 1 7 For the budget year commencing July 1,19992000, 1 8 the department of management shall add the amount of 1 9 the additional budget adjustment computed in section 1 10 257.14, subsection 1, to the combined foundation 1 11 base." 1 12 #2. By striking page 1, line 26, through page 2, 1 13 line 1, and inserting the following: 1 14 "Sec. . Section 257.14, subsection 1, Code 1 15 Supplement 1999, is amended to read as follows: 1 16 1. For the budget years commencing July 1, 1997, 1 17 July 1, 1998,andJuly 1, 1999, and July 1, 2000, if 1 18 the department of management determines that the 1 19 regular program district cost of a school district for 1 20 a budget year is less than the total of the regular 1 21 program district cost plus any adjustment added under 1 22 this section for the base year for that school 1 23 district, the department of management shall provide a 1 24 budget adjustment for that district for that budget 1 25 year that is equal to the difference." 1 26 1 27 1 28 1 29 FREVERT of Palo Alto 1 30 HF 2543.201 78 1 31 rn/gg
