1 1 Amend the amendment H-8115, to House File 2374 as
1 2 follows:
1 3 #1. Page 1, by striking lines 4 through 10 and
1 4 inserting the following:
1 5 ""Sec. . INVESTIGATION. The division of
1 6 criminal investigation of the department of public
1 7 safety shall investigate and examine any compensation
1 8 and benefits received by the president or employees of
1 9 the Iowa housing corporation since 1991 which is for
1 10 service related to applications submitted to any state
1 11 or local governmental entity for funding or tax
1 12 credits for housing projects and that is in addition
1 13 to any salary and compensation received by the
1 14 president and employees from the Iowa housing
1 15 corporation. The division of criminal investigation
1 16 shall retain the assistance of an accountant, as
1 17 necessary, to audit and analyze any information
1 18 obtained. Notwithstanding other provisions of law, a
1 19 report of this investigation shall be furnished to the
1 20 governor, the auditor of state, and the attorney
1 21 general and a report of this investigation regarding
1 22 civil matters may be furnished to the Iowa finance
1 23 authority. This section shall not preclude or prevent
1 24 any other investigative rights or duties of another
1 25 person, as defined by section 4.1, into the same or
1 26 related matters.""
