  1  1    Amend House File 2392 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 32 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "6.  The commission shall review applications for
  1  5 community attraction and tourism development fund
  1  6 assistance and make recommendations to the department
  1  7 regarding applications."
  1  8    #2.  By striking page 1, line 33, through page 2,
  1  9 line 21.
  1 10    #3.  By striking page 2, line 26, through page 3,
  1 11 line 5, and inserting the following:
  1 12    "When reviewing the applications, the department
  1 13 shall consider, at a minimum, The department shall
  1 14 award financial assistance to applicants that are
  1 15 geographically diverse.  In order to receive financial
  1 16 assistance under the program, an applicant must
  1 17 demonstrate and the department must find all of the
  1 18 following:
  1 19    1.  Whether the The wages, benefits, including
  1 20 health benefits, safety, and other attributes of the
  1 21 project would improve the quality of attraction and
  1 22 tourism employment in the community.
  1 23    2.  The extent to which such a project would
  1 24 generate additional attraction and tourism
  1 25 opportunities.
  1 26    3.  The ability of the project to would produce a
  1 27 long-term tax generating economic impact.
  1 28    4.  The location of the projects and geographic
  1 29 diversity of the applications.
  1 30    5. 4.  The extent to which any part of the proposed
  1 31 project meets the definition of vertical
  1 32 infrastructure in section 8.57, subsection 5,
  1 33 paragraph "c"."
