1 1 Amend House File 2137 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 1, by inserting after line 14 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. . SUPPLEMENTAL AID. If the state percent
1 5 of growth established for the budget year beginning
1 6 July 1, 2001, results in an amount of state foundation
1 7 aid which is lower than the amount projected to be
1 8 received for the budget year beginning July 1, 2001,
1 9 based on estimates in existence on the effective date
1 10 of this Act, there is appropriated from the general
1 11 fund of the state to the department of education for
1 12 the school budget year beginning July 1, 2001, an
1 13 amount sufficient to provide supplemental aid payments
1 14 equal to the difference between the two. The
1 15 additional funding received is miscellaneous income to
1 16 the district and shall be paid in proportion to the
1 17 enrollment of each district."
1 18 #2. By renumbering as necessary.
