1 2 #1. Page 14, by inserting after line 3 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. 201. Section 256.44, subsection 1, as
1 5 amended in 1999 Iowa Acts, House File 766, if enacted,
1 6 is amended to read as follows:
1 7 1. A national board certification pilot project is
1 8 established to be administered by the department of
1 9 education. A teacher, as defined in section 272.1,
1 10 who registers for or achieves national board for
1 11 professional teaching standards certification, and who
1 12 is employed by a school district in Iowa or the Price
1 13 laboratory school at the university of northern Iowa,
1 14 and receiving a salary as a classroom teacher, may be
1 15 eligible for the following:"
1 16 #2. Page 14, by inserting before line 4 the
1 17 following:
1 18 "Sec. . EFFECTIVE DATE. Section 201 of this
1 19 Act, relating to a national board certification pilot
1 20 project, being deemed of immediate importance, takes
1 21 effect upon enactment."
