  1  1    Amend House File 782 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 14, by inserting before line 4 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  The general assembly shall enact
  1  5 legislation no later than March 1, 2000, to address
  1  6 alternative high school program funding as provided
  1  7 under section 257.11.  The general assembly's interim
  1  8 committee on school finance shall study and make
  1  9 recommendations for funding alternative high school
  1 10 programs offered within a school district, by another
  1 11 school district, or with a community college.  The
  1 12 committee's report shall be forwarded to the members
  1 13 of the general assembly no later than December 1,
  1 14 1999."
